AUA Symptom Score Questionnaire

The numbers on the graph above represent the American Urology Association Symptom Index (AUASI) score which measures the BPH symptoms as reported by patients at the intervals indicated.  The higher the AUASI score the more symptoms the patients had due to BPH:

The 1 Year LIFT study indicated the average AUASI score of 22.1 for pre-procedure patients and a score of 12.3 one month after the procedure.

Dr. Walsh had patients indicate the average AUSAI score of 18.6 for pre-procedure patients and a score of 7.7 one month after the procedure.

This indicates that Dr. Walsh’s patients had a slightly lower starting AUASI score for pre-procedure patients and an even lower AUASI score after one month.  Dr. Walsh has better results for his patients than the patients in the large clinical LIFT study!
